Dr. Wouter Berendsen is a Dutch R&D and business leader in the global dairy industry with 20+ years of experience. As Global Portfolio Director – Market Development & Innovation at Interfood Group, he leads market-driven R&D and value engineering initiatives. Previously, he held roles at Danone and AVEBE, focusing on product development and market expansion. Wouter holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and an Executive MBA from Erasmus University of Rotterdam. His expertise spans dairy applications and precision fermentation. Having lived in five countries, including the US, he brings a global perspective to his work.
